African - Elephant Head Ironwood Walking Stick /Cane/Staff

This beautifully hand crafted cane is made in Zimbabwe out of ironwood.

The elephant head is the top of the cane, the craftsmanship depicting the African elephant in all its majesty is apparent in the intricate details of this hand carved walking stick.

Ironwood is a very hard dense wood, and comes from a tall to very tall tree, it is also known as the rock or small ironwood. The bark darkens with age and if damaged it bleeds a slimy black gum. It has very small white or red scented flowers.

The cane can be used for walking, after a rubber tip has been attached.
